Mary Lynn Rajskub and Louis Lombardi are interviewed about Edgar Stile’s sad death in the twelfth episode of 24 Season 5.
“I didn’t find out up until like a week ago. So you don’t find out until you basically read the script or they come and tell you.”
“I just think it was so heart-wrenching. When I read it I was speechless, I was in shock. I was like this is unbelievable. This is one of the saddest moments you’re going to see on television in a while. And not just because it’s my character, the way the Edgar character is so sympathetic as it is. The way he goes out to save someone else and ends up meeting his own, I just think it’s an unbelievably great way to go.”
“I don’t look at it as an end, I look at it as a total beginning. Because this character was so great for me as an actor, these guys gave me a great role. That was a whole stepping stone in itself. I think the year and a half I’ve had on this show already is going to be unbelievable.”
“I think I’ll miss most all of the actors and people I work with, the producers and directors. Just coming here I feel like I’ve been here for ten years, not two. It’s just a comfortable place and everybody’s great. This has been one of the best jobs I’ve ever had and these people have all been great.”
