24 Season 6 has cast member Kal Penn in suspense

Kal Penn’s career is about to take a frenetic turn. Penn, who stars in “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj,” joins the cast of the Fox hit “24” when it returns next month.

But he still doesn’t know if he’s a good guy or bad. “I don’t even know if I’m going to live or die,” the actor told us a few days ago. “The way they shoot the show is really interesting. The plotlines weave in and out so you might be in two episodes then you might have two weeks off. Those episodes in the middle that you’re not in, you don’t get the script for. That way, you don’t get to know what happens.”
