“When the show ended, there were two very difficult moments for me. One was kind of saying goodbye to that character. But in the back of my mind, I wasn’t. I knew that we were going to one day make these films. The process has taken us a little longer [than anticipated]. And the other was saying goodbye to the crew. I think we had sixteen weddings on our show over the course of the eight years, I think over thirty-five children were born. I know it sounds trite, but you really do feel like a family. And so we’ve got most of them working on Touch now, so that’s been remedied.
And now the last part is to go and do the 24 Movie. And we were very close to being able to do it, and it really came down to scheduling. There’s actors that we want to be able to do our show, and we kind of got the script in the right place at the very last minute, and we couldn’t get everyone that we wanted [in the time frame]. I’m hoping that we’ll be able to do it within the next eight months.”
