I believe we’re going to see you on the new series of 24, is that true?
Yes, it’s true, but I’m not allowed to say too much about it. FOX said I’m allowed to say I’ve got some scenes with Kiefer Sutherland. My character name is Basher. I think it premieres the seventh or the sixth of May sometime. I’m excited to be doing it, we’re still shooting it at the moment. It finishes [filming] in June. It’s a lot of fun.
Why do you think Jack Bauer’s a character that audiences just can’t get enough of?
He’s a rough and rugged James Bond of the TV world, isn’t he? That’s the way I see him. And it’s Kiefer Sutherland. How can you knock Kiefer Sutherland? He’s brilliant at everything he does. I think the genius of the show as well, the idea of twenty four hours is really unique. And it’s been brought back after four years, so they must be doing something right.
What makes Kiefer such a unique talent? He’s got a great presence on screen, but what’s he like to work with?
He’s really generous, I like Kiefer. He’s been really generous with me and he’s on point. He does what he does in 24 brilliantly as Jack Bauer, he does it really well. He’s very quick; there’s not a lot of rehearsals with Kiefer. You come in and rehearse once and you get on with it. He’s terrific with all the fight scenes, he really is.
Do any physical stuff with him yet?
You’ll have to wait and see [smiles].
