24: Live Another Day DVD and Blu-Ray Available to Pre-Order on Amazon

Amazon now has 24: Live Another Day available for pre-order on DVD and Blu-Ray. Both are currently 30% off the MSRP and there’s a pre-order price guarantee, so it’d be a good idea to jump on this now for the big savings (you won’t get charged until the product ships).

If the quality doesn’t improve on the massively disappointing first half – not interested! In fact I haven’t bought a 24 release since Redemption.

Actually, if it gets worse then I shall send Cassar a video of me taking a rather long, aggressive piss on the LAD set before melting it on a big fire.

Debating the merits of the show as it airs is one thing, XAM. This out-of-context hyperbole is sort of another, and I think you know it. It just makes it harder for us to be critical when we really need to be.

Are you sure you have been watching the same 24 XAM? what do you mean, if it doesn’t improve? of course it has improved. the last few episodes have been amazing and brilliant, next week’s looks brilliant.

I am a 24 fan and live another day has been great shame it was only 12 episodes but still has the same feel as the normal 24 shame there was no ctu hope this in not the end for our Jack Bauer

“24: Live Another Day” has been such a phenomenal season of 24 so far and I fully expect the remaining six episodes of it to be brilliant too. No matter how great this ninth season of 24 turns out to be, there is going to be a lot of fans of 24 that won’t be fans of this ninth season, I knew that ever since this ninth season was confirmed by FOX last year. The bashers of this ninth season of 24 will not take any of the enjoyment and awesomeness away from this season. “24: Live Another Day” is the best TV Show of 2014 by far. It’s a guarantee that I’ll be buying it once it’s officially released. I have seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and “24: Redemption” all on DVD.

I’ve been a tad bit disappointed by LAD so far, but I was also disappointed in Seasons 6-8 when they came out, and they have grown on me as I have re-watched them. This will probably be the same case with LAD…

Already pre-ordered the DVD.

YES PLEASE PAY ATTENTION POWERS THAT BE!
You must include more features with the DVD– I for one would really appreciate an out takes reel from Season 2 on — we know you guys have great behind the scenes film- photos and video. The way the series comes together– the editing choices all very interesting for the fans so please consider a broader more fan-centered offering.

It was pretty strange that the Season 8 DVD came out six months after it finished airing and had little special features/no commentaries, but Season 7 came out the day after it ended and had a good amount of extras and commentaries.

I really wish they would release a blooper reel for the entire series. It would be funny to see the actors messing up their lines and laughing about it.

They have claimed that doing so detracts from the subject matter and “gravitas” of the series– which is so ridiculous– this is not 60 Minutes….the premise in each season is so far out there that even the audience accepts the entire conceit with a wink and a nod. I agree a blooper reel would be great to see!

They have some on youtube but it’s not fair for us die hard fans to have to go online instead of putting in the dvd to play it. F.Y.I. I have Days:1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7+Redemption BRAND NEW DVD’s for sale if anyone is interested. I ended up with 2…mis-communication ;-)

The original masters for season 1 and 2 were updated to 1080p years ago. Netflix and now Amazon Prime both use the updated masters. Why the series is not out bluray…that I don’t know. Season 1 bluray was suppose to be released back in 2005/2006. I have every season on dvd/bluray now but haven’t touched them since Netflix had the entire series in HD.

While the original early seasons have been released in “HD”, I would be warned about them. Compared with the original DVD versions, about 10% of the width and 10% of the height has been cropped out. This doesn’t seem to be a “pan and scan” trying to make it fit a new resolution, as the same proportion has been taken off both height and width. It means you see less of stuff as it happens throughout the episodes, I would hesitate to call in an “update”.
